Wedding photography by Andrea Palmer In the heart for Ruffed Park provides a stunning backdrop for any civil partnership or wedding celelbration.
Rufford Mill is set within the grounds of the beautiful and historic Rufford Park with extensive woodland, formal gardens and a magnificent lake.
The picturesque remains of the 12th century Rufford Abbey is situated in the heart of the park and provides a perfect location for weddings and civil partnerships.
Rufford was originally a Cistercian abbey which was converted to a country house in the 16th century, part of the park is now a local nature reserve.
Rufford Abbey Country Park is situated J31 A1 A57, two miles from Ollerton, 17 miles north of Nottingham on the A614 M1.
Say good bye to the hustle and bustle of the city as you and your guests relax in this country estate ambiance. Take a stroll along the tree lined paths and breath in the relaxing atmosphere.
Weddings and civil partnerships are held in the fresh and contemporary Talbot Suite within Rufford Mill which overlooks the tranquil lake.
The exterior of the Mill is steeped with history with pathways and gardens surrounding it.
Situated on the first floor, The Talbot Suite is easily accessible by lift or stairs, and has its own dedicated bar adjoining.
For ceremonies, the suite is styled traditionally and can comfortably seat 150 guests theatre-style or 80 guests banquet-style.
After the ceremony guest can enjoy drinks and canapés by the lake or the courtyard while the wedding team get the suite prepared for the wedding breakfast.
The Mill courtyard provides 20 car parking spaces. there's additional parking close by in the woodland car park for larger ceremonies or guest arriving in the evening.
Only one wedding is hosted per day at the Mill so the venue and bar is exclusive yours. The dedicated wedding team provide a fresh food menu from the on-site kitchen.
As a wedding photographer It’s a delight to shoot at this venue. The Mill and park offer so many wonderful places to take photos.
From the ornate gardens and stately stone doorways of the Abbey I can capture a real sense of drama, romance and nostalgia.
It’s a perfect setting for any wedding and all in one convent very beautiful spot. Rufford Mill is fantastic value to money and offers couples a lot for their money.
If your thinking of booking, my advice is to take your time to walk around the grounds to really appreciate this jewel of a venue, drink in the atmosphere and book as soon as you can to avoid disappointment.
A big thanks to Jenna and Kat who celebrated their civil partnership at the Mill. A wonderful day was had by all from the arrival of the London double decker bus to the sun setting over the lake.
